Bikini Buy

Finally managed to find a bikini that doesn't make me cringe with about a thousand different colours or over powering patterns. Opted for a plain black so that it goes with everything and anything. However it does have gold little squares at the ends of each tassel (which I could cope with) 

Topshop finally saved me looking for the rest of the week. At £18, I didn't think it was a bad buy.

Republic Southampton VM

So I have been working more than usual lately and I had a chance to do some VM today. I thought this would be a perfect festival outfit. From top to bottom- the Mac I originally wasn't that fond of however the past few weeks it has completely grown on me. Absolute essential for a festival as we all know British weather is so unpredictable. Thrown over these high waisted denims it's a cute combination. I mixed it up a little with the trainers, however this would also work with a pair of wellies and knee high socks. The top is very dressy which I think completely makes the outfit. I wouldn't like to be completely casual at a festival so I glammed it up by adding a few key pieces. The statement necklace was one of them.

Jaycee Dugard - a stolen life... ( Review)

This is a reflective and emotional read which undoubtably addresses the importance of love and family. Jaycee  was 11 years old when she was taken by her abductor in the Summer of 1991. She very beautifully retells a story that leaves you feeling everything from sad to inspired. Her diary extracts reveal 18 years worth of captivity and tell the story of a very brave individual. The memoir retells many of Jaycee's ordeals in the cruel hands of Phillip Garrido. This was at times difficult to read but her positive attitude towards life makes this an inspirational read. Her stolen life hasn't stopped Jaycee from helping others and since her release she has gone on to create a foundation ( the J-A-Y-C foundation) Helping other families and victims of abductions, Jayce's journey undeniably represents true survival. 

It's a wonderful read.
